The steel Audemars Piguet Royal Oak 6005ST, also known as the Jumbo due to its size of 32mm x 41mm, is a rare quartz timepiece from 1982, making it over 40 years old. The large case houses a black dial in Petite Tapisserie pattern, a characteristic feature of the Royal Oak collection. It is adorned with grey gold baton hands, applique indices, and the AP logo at 12 o'clock.

The vintage aesthetic is further emphasized by the old-style Audemars Piguet inscription on the dial. The integrated bracelet with a deployment clasp, featuring an 'AP' signed clasp cover, offers both security and comfort, showcasing intricate hand-finishing techniques not typically seen in durable sports watches.

Despite its substantial dimensions, the watch maintains an elegant appearance due to its ultra-thin profile, flat sapphire crystal, and the smooth lines of the case that seamlessly transition into the bracelet. The original Audemars Piguet quartz movement, known as calibre 2511, is built around a regulator, which is the component responsible for measuring time. This regulator comprises a quartz crystal that is subjected to an electric current. The quartz crystal vibrates at an exceptionally high frequency, dividing time into equal intervals. By turning the crown, you can set the minute hand in motion, while pressing the crown with a pusher advances the hours on the other hand.
