- Buying a Watch
1.1 Authenticity Guarantee
- All watches sold by SwissTimepieces are 100% authentic, have passed our in-house checks, and are sold with their original manufacturer papers unless explicitly stated otherwise (in which case this will be clearly shown in the product description).
- If any watch is ever proven not to be authentic, we will refund the full purchase price.
1.2 Condition & Description
- All photographs show the actual watch for sale. No stock images are used.
- Our descriptions are accurate to the best of our knowledge, but we encourage you to review all images, condition notes, and details prior to purchase.
- Some watches may have undergone light refurbishment to ensure presentation quality.
1.3 Availability
- All items are subject to availability. If a watch is no longer available after you place an order, we will contact you immediately and issue a full refund.
- Payments, Pricing & VAT
2.1 Currency & Pricing
- All prices are in GBP (£). Payments must be made in GBP.
- Pre-owned watches are sold under the UK VAT Margin Scheme, meaning VAT is not reclaimable.
- We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors.
2.2 Payment Methods
- We accept bank transfer, debit/credit card, and approved finance options.
- For security, we may require proof of identity and address before dispatch.
- Reservation Deposits
3.1 Standard Reservation
- To reserve a watch for up to 48 hours, we require a £500 refundable deposit.
- If you decide not to proceed, the deposit will be refunded in full within 48 hours of cancellation.
3.2 Extended Reservation
- For reservations longer than 48 hours, we require a £1,000 non-refundable deposit.
- This will be deducted from the purchase price if the sale completes, but forfeited if it does not proceed.
3.3 Conditions
- A reservation removes the watch from sale in our showroom and online.
- If payment is not completed within the agreed timeframe, the reservation will be cancelled and the watch relisted.
- Delivery & Shipping
4.1 UK Orders
- Watches are sent via insured next working day delivery once payment is cleared.
- A signature from an adult (18+) is required upon delivery.
4.2 International Orders
- Shipped via a fully insured courier (usually DHL Express).
- International deliveries may be subject to customs duties or taxes, payable by the customer.

- We offer a 14-day returns policy from the date of delivery.
- Items must be returned unused, in the same condition as supplied, with all original packaging, papers, and accessories.
- Refunds will be processed within 5 working days of receipt and inspection.
5.2 Bespoke Items (Engagement & Wedding Rings)
- All bespoke, made-to-order rings are non-refundable and non-exchangeable, unless faulty or not as described.

5.3 Purchases via Finance
- If your purchase is made using a regulated finance agreement, you are entitled to a 14-day right to cancel the finance under the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and a 14-day right to return the goods under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2014.

5.4 Return Conditions
- Return shipping and insurance are your responsibility unless the item is faulty.
- We recommend a tracked and insured method for the full value.
- Warranty
6.1 Coverage
- Most watches we sell are still covered under their original manufacturer warranty. The length and terms of this warranty vary by brand and will be clearly stated in the product listing.
- If the manufacturer warranty has expired, we provide a 12-month SwissTimepieces warranty covering manufacturing and mechanical defects.
- If the watch has been fully serviced by our British Horological Institute (BHI) accredited watchmaker, we provide a 24-month SwissTimepieces warranty from the date of purchase.
6.2 Exclusions
- Wear and tear, accidental damage, water damage, or tampering by non-authorised watchmakers are not covered.
- Warranty does not cover deterioration within manufacturer-specified tolerances or cosmetic imperfections clearly described at the point of sale.
6.3 Claims Process
- Contact us for a returns authorisation before sending your watch.
- If covered, we will repair, replace, or refund at our discretion.
- Warranty is in addition to your statutory rights under UK law.
