IWC Schaffhausen developed its now-iconic 'Pilot's' watch over 80 years ago and pays homage to the original with every new iteration – this model is inspired by the design of the 'Mark XVIII' and has a small 36mm case, referencing the 'Mark 11 Navigation' that was produced for the Royal Air Force in 1948. Built in Switzerland from polished stainless steel, it's powered by an automatic calibre 35111 movement and has luminescent hands and numerals for reliable legibility. The sapphire glass is secured against displacement from air pressure drop, while the soft-iron inner case protects against magnetic fields.
